Still taking advantage of being at home, I got the Hope Valley 9-patch all finished up. This has turned out to be one of my favorite quilts. The bright colors are making these snowy days feel better. I should take a picture to show you, but my little boy has used my quilts to make “forts” all over the living room. The room is a total disaster, but it makes me smile every time I look at that mess. I love that the quilts that bring me joy are bringing him joy in a non-traditional way. Hey, at least they are getting used, right.
The latest forecast is calling for more winter weather this weekend. Yuck. I picked up a new purse pattern and some fabric today, so I am all ready to go. Hey, some people get milk and bread when they are calling for bad weather, I get fabric. A girl’s gotta have priorities! A friend of mine got some beautiful fabric today to make this quilt and it’s kinda got me feeling like I want to make one, too. So many quilts, so little time! I have about 3 quilts started that I need to get finished before I start a new one, but it is just so fun to start something new! (focus Gina!) I’m hoping we don’t lose power with the bad weather. Well done, it’s lovely and such happy colors. I especially love that little strip on the back. My kids like to make forts out of our quilts, too. 🙂

Love the quilt! I remember the days of tents in the living room. I think I enjoyed them as much as the kids did!
I’m headed out west to ski. How ironic would it be if our flight was canceled due to weather? I can’t imagine a more glorious sight than quilt forts… love it!!
