Moving right along on my applique quilt, I am happy to say that I am a block ahead of my planned one block a month. Here’s hoping that I can keep this pace up.
On a side note; I heard on the news the other day that lack of sleep can make you appear uglier than you really are. Great! They really give the mother of a newborn a lot to feel confident about. Ugggh!
This is a very pretty block! It’s O.K. if you take a nap when your baby takes a nap. You’ll feel better to! Just remember it seems like forever right now, but very soon baby will be sleeping through the night! :0)
Lovely Applique!!! Sleep when you can… The little one will be grown before your eyes.
Look at you keeping up with kb! The block is beautiful.
Lack of sleep makes us ugly? Says who?
That block is awesome Gina…beautiful stitched and those colors are lovely..
So thats why i am so “ugly”…lack of sleep?!…i only sleep 5 hours a night..but i was told that`s ok at my age……just enjoy taking a nap too when your baby is asleep…i am sure you both are very beautiful…greetings Francien.
To make things better, I went for naps with the baby on my belly, both having a good time sleeping. Kid reassured by my heartbeat, and me having that well needed rest in order not to disturb the little one :^}
Nurses in hospital already knew that: ah! there is mrs Irene with her kid again! Always the happiest babies and mom on the block!
Enjoy!
Love from Amsterdam, Irene
Great Block Gina…maybe as the days get longer little man will stay up more in the daytime and be ready to sleep longer at night!
Lack of sleep only makesup look a little tired, not ugly!
Love your block. The stitching is perfect. Iam working on putting my blocks together right now. I started it last Feb as a BOM.
Love those colors that you chose for your block and don’t worry about lack of sleep–eighteen years goes by faster than you think. It was a lot less stress ful to lose sleep over my daughters when they were infants than it was when they got their driver’s licenses. LOL.
I’m having a give-way at my blog this week. Hope you’ll stop by.
Gail 🙂
