A Little Weekend Sewing

I did a little sewing this weekend. My friend just had her second. He’s a perfect little boy and since daddy is a firefighter, I made these for baby and big brother.
I also got the sweetest little reversible pinafore made for my sweet little niece. She is the first little girl in this family after six boys and I am so glad to have a sweetie to make cute little dresses for. It will be a little while before she can wear it, but I wanted to try out the pattern. It was easy peasy. There will be many more of these made for her and my next niece, who will be here some time in July (the one the Baxter Quilt is for).I also whipped up this Buttercup Bag from Made by Rae for myself. It too is easy peasy. Fletcher goes for his nap soon, so I might head to the workroom to work a little on the Pinwheel quilt. Hubby brought the five boxes that arrived here this week with the table and frame for my new longarm to the workroom this morning, so it will be all ready when they come to set it up tomorrow. Can’t wait. After nap time, we head to the parents for a little Father’s Day dinner prepared by my sister, some swimming and then a little dessert made by me. Picked some fresh raspberries this morning to go on top of some yummy cheesecake bars. Put a little whipped topping on that… so good. My hubby must think Fletch and I didn’t get him anything for Father’s Day, but later today at my parents he is going to get a new fly fishing pole. Thought it would be nice for him to enjoy some fishing when we head up to the mountains. Hope he likes it. Should have got him the cute little vest and hat to go with it… maybe for his birthday. He’d look cute in those and some hip waders.

  1. Your sewing adventures provided some wonderful treasures, well done. I am eager to see your new “addition”. (Not the fishing pole!)

  2. You have been one busy bee while I’ve been out of town. I’m tired just catching up with all you’ve done!
