WOW!

You guys are awesome! Thanks for helping me clear out some of my stash! That’s one way to get’r done.
This is all that is left from my fabric bolts. Now I feel like I’ve really done something. It was hard to part with. The mail man had to pry the boxes out of my hands, but I do feel like a huge weight has been lifted. The fabric is no longer sitting there in my sewing room staring at me. Staring at me and whispering in my ear, “use me, make something out of me, I wanna be in a quilt, too!” Ahhh…. it feels kinda good. Now if you will excuse me, this is cutting into the time I could be shopping for new fabric online. Na, I’m just kidding. (there is still plenty left in my sewing room)

Fat Quarters, Too!

I also have this fat quarter bundle that I bought on impulse and it has been on my shelf for about a year. (I know you all never do that!) I don’t know when I am ever going to get the time to do anything with it. It is a Moda Sandy Gervais Lollipop 44 fat quarter bundle. You can have it for $60 plus the shipping. Let me know if you want it!! Email me at ginabean@yadtel.net
I promise I’ll stop posting stuff for sale and start posting crafty things. Believe it or not, I have been sneaking in a little sewing time lately. School starts soon and Fletcher’s Summer Entertainment Committee (i.e. – me) will be getting some time off. Hopefully, my craftiness is on the up-swing and I’ll have time to post more. I know I’ve been pretty stack about posting this summer.

FABRIC and SCRAP SALE!!!!

So, you know I am in the “get the crap out of my house” mode. I have hit the sewing room and I need to get rid of some fabric. It needs to go to good and loving homes, so I thought I would offer it up to you guys. It is all Michael Miller (MM) and Westminster Fabrics. (I have good taste, tee hee.) Could you all handle, say….$3 a yard? Let me know if you want some and how much and we can do the whole paypal thing. I’ll just invoice you. I’ll send it in priority flat rate envelopes and boxes, so shipping will just depend on how much you get. Probably $5 – $10. For the most part, I have several yards of each. I also thought I would offer up some 1 pound (2 quart) bags of scraps like I did in the past. (Because Lord knows, I’ve got some scraps!) Only the good stuff too, ya know. Micheal Miller and Amy Bulter and such. How about 5 bucks each for those.

Month Six

Wow! Six months has gone by so fast! The boys have been keeping me busy. I am also in the middle of what I call, “Operation Clean Out This Huge Pile of Crap That Has Taken Over My House.” I just finished cleaning out and reorganizing the kitchen. The man at Goodwill and I have become pretty tight during this whole process. I have to say that having the kitchen all clean and organized ALMOST makes me want to cook. ALMOST! I still have the bathrooms and boys rooms to do. I’m not even going talk about the pile of junk hanging out in the basement, but I am ready to take a break from cleaning and sew a little bit.

I’m getting behind on my applique project, so this weekend I hope to get the ol’ sewin’ machine out and work on the pieced sashing. Cross your fingers for me!

Miss 4th of July

Fashion for the Fourth

The 4th of July is a big deal in our family. This year is the first year in I can’t tell you when that our whole family will be together for the 4th. I decided that my two little nieces needed something cute to wear on the big day, so they are both getting a festive pillowcase dress.

Turning 5

Fletcher turned 5 a couple of weeks ago. (I haven’t had time to post, I know, I’m a slacker)

He wanted to have a Monster Truck Party….so that’s what we had.

I had fun making the invitations, cupcake toppers and wrapper, gift bag, etc. for the party with my new Silhouette SD. I even made monster truck tattoos for all the kids. (I am loving this machine.)

Fletcher!!!!

Fletcher…. would you please hold still so I can get a nice picture of you for your preschool graduation?

Fletcher… seriously, act like you have some sense and smile nice!
Seriously Fletcher!

I’m not kidding, Fletcher. If you would just go ahead and smile nice you could have been done by now.

Fletcher!!!

Fletcher Tillet Allen!!!

Really!!!

Alright, that’s it. Forget it. Why would I want to have a nice picture of you anyway?

Finally…. Thank you. That’s my sweet boy! Congratulations on surviving preschool! Kindergarten teachers… are you ready for this thing!?!?

Quilt Sampler Magazine

The Spring 2011 issue of Quilt Sampler Magazine put out by Better Homes and Gardens is now on stands. The magazine features my favorite shop and good friend, Karen Gray. If you get a chance, stop by her shop and pick one up. It has a great pattern by her in it and I got to quilt it for her.

I feel like a superstar, because my name is in the magazine. She has kits all ready to go, so pick one of those up too, while you’re there.

Finished Quilts and Four Month Olds

I finally finished a quilt! It’s for my sweet little niece who turns 2 this week. I made it using this pattern, which I have to say, was super easy.
And I had to throw in a picture of this major cutie! He is now four months old. Time sure does go by fast. He is getting so big!
