Bloom

I am going to be participating in Bloom next weekend, April 28th. If you are out and about in Winston, please stop by and see me. I will have a booth there with a bunch of my handmade gift items like journal covers, camera straps, key fobs, etc….

Happy Easter!

Hope everyone has a Happy Easter!

Superstar

My mother-in-law and I have been taking a class to learn how to make Moravian Stars. They are supposed to be made with white paper, but you know that I couldn’t resist making them out of something a little different.

Peek-a-boo

Look at the cutie that is helping me model my new quilt.

I think he likes it!

Do you see that little smile peek-a-booing at you.

He had such a good time! Oh so cute. Cute, cute, cute.

Hummmmm

The sewing machine has been humming this past week. I put the last stitches in this quilt top for Karen’s shop today. It’s made using Jaybird Quilts Taffy pattern and Amy Butler’s Lark fabric.
I have another quilt top at the halfway stage. I hope to get it completed in the next couple of days to show you. The boys have been snotty and coughing and all kinds of good stuff this week so I have stayed close to home. It’s amazing what you get done when you are not running errands all the time. I’m starting to see why some people never leave the house. It’s nice to get caught up on things here. Especially some sewing.

Homemade

I made some homemade caramels this year. Packaging makes everything look good, doesn’t it. The handmade / homemade Christmas continues….

For All You Deer Hunting Quilters Out There

My husband bagged this deer a couple of weeks ago. He seems to be very upset that I have not posted a picture of it on my blog. I tried to explain to him that I was pretty sure that you ladies probably wouldn’t be very interested in seeing a picture of his deer, but he seems disappointed, soooo…. this post is for him and all you deer huntin’ quilters out there. Congratulations on your deer, honey. I’m very proud of you! Ladies, be on the look out for my Pretty Patchwork Gun Sleeve Tutorial….just kidding.

Elf on the Towel Bar

20 1/2″ long
He’s here! He’s a little early. He came at 35 weeks, but he is beautiful and healthy and home! Warning: from this moment forward, this blog will probably contain more baby things then crafty, sewing things. At least for a little while. Thought it only fair I give you a little heads up.
