The Calm Before The Storm

Carrie’s Quilt
I am designing a showroom at the High Point International Home Furnishings Market this fall and tomorrow starts the three full weeks I have to get the showroom completed. During the next three weeks, everything that occurs in my usual life will be put on hold while I try to wade thru containers of furniture and accessories and creatively design a showroom on a non-existent budget.

In the days leading up to tomorrow, I have been busily making my way thru many of the beautiful quilts that are temporarily residing at my home. I feel so fortunate to have as many quilts as I do on my waiting list. Quilting them really does put me in a relaxed state and has allowed me to forget about the stresses of the looming market. Each quilt is just as beautiful as the last. I have tried to remember to take pictures as I get each one done, but I am pretty forgetful.

Here are just a few of the ones I’ve finished up in the last few days. I wasn’t kidding about them being amazing, was I!?!

Well, that’s the low down on why I have been absent from my blog and sewing and why it will be about a month before I will probably have time to stop back by. I wish I had taken more pictures of things I have quilted, but I promise to be better about showing them to you. I can’t wait for market to be over and life to come back to normal! See you soon.
