Sunday Sewing

I finished putting this Patchwork Chevron Quilt together today. I made it following this tutorial from Moda Bake Shop. I added a few blocks to it so that it would fit on a king-size bed.
I am getting some acrylic templates cut for the Cartwheel Quilt (see previous post) and they will not be ready until Monday. I thought maybe I should try to get this quilt completed while I waited for the templates. This quilt uses fabric from Denyse Schmidt’s Hope Valley and Flea Market Fancy. It is going to go on my bed. I think I am just going to add one more row to the side to make it a tad bit wider. If I get really ambitious, I think I should make some matching pillow shams.

This is super cute. Did you press open the seams when you made the nine patches like in the directions? I have a bunch of 4″ squares left over from crib quilt & think this pattern concept would be perfect. Thanks for the link & inspiration. B
